He got joo-joo eyeball he one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker he just do what he please
He wear no shoeshine he got toe-jam football
He got monkey finger he shoot coca-cola
He say "I know you, you know me"
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free
Come together right now over me
The Cafe has been busy earlier this morning, causing poor Jesse to work his ass off...which was something new. Usually he flirted with the various girls that entered the cafe, getting a few numbers here and there. His boss hated him for that but for some reason, Jess didn't get fired. Which was a good thing, right? He needed money to pay for his apartment.
The rush ended and he slumped against the counter, shaking his head, brown curls bouncing slightly. The clock on the wall behind him struck noon, which meant break...which meant something to eat. It also meant his baby sister would be coming in soon, back from her trip to the mental hospital to visit their mother. She had wanted Jesse to come along but like always, he turned down the request and carried on with his life.
The twenty-one year old made himself a cup of coffee before moving to one of the booths near the window, leaning into the seat coushin and sipping the warm liquid. He set it on the table, watching as the seventeen year old made her way towards the door of the cafe, looking slightly pissed off. Oh god, bad day.
It didn't take long for her to spot him, his curly hair giving him away. She walked over, sitting in the seat across from him and grabbing his coffee, taking a drink, practically fuming with anger. Anyone could sense it, just by looking at the poor girl.
Jesse waited a few minutes, staring out the window before looking at her with a smile. ''Hey, kid. '' He said softly, touching her hand, though he let go soon after. ''What happened?''
The day had actually started off nicely. She didn't have to go to school today, so she slept in. Took a nice, hot shower then took her time getting ready. She wanted to look nice for her mom. A nice, black skirt matched with a black tank top, a white one layered underneath it. Her make up was done nicely, not too much, though. Her mother was old school like that and thought too much made her daughter look like a whore.
It started turning bad when she was heading for the door and her father emerged from his room, hungover like always. ''I'm coming with you...'' He had said, grabbing his car keys and leading his daughter from the house, into the rusty Chevy truck. Mason did not have a good feeling about this at all. But she let him drive anyway, gripping the sides of the torn passenger seat she was sitting on, debating on calling Jesse.
The two reached the mental hospital, which didn't really look like a mental hospital. It had beautiful gardens and rolling hills around it, pathways leading various places. Her gandparents wanted the best for her daughter, and Mas was glad...or else she wouldn't be coming here as often as she did.
Her dad stopped the truck and got out, stumbling inside, demanding on seeing his wife. She knew why she felt bad about this...he was still drunk, and he wanted to fight. She couldn't stay here and watch that, turning and walking out of the door, catching a bus.
''And now I'm here, sitting in front of you. I don't know where dad is, and frankly, I don't care.'' Mason finished telling the entire story to Jesse, a scowl on her face, arms cross. ''Stupid asshole. I hate him. ''
Jesse couldn't help but chuckle, reaching over and touching her cheek. ''He's probably getting drunk, and that's the reason you're staying with me tonight. Now, I have to get back to work. Do your homework, I'm off at two. We'll go do something. '' He stood and walked back behind the counter.
He bag production he got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard he one spinal cracker
