Foreplay is afoot...
It has been a year since the young couple met. Carelessly in love, and never stopping to decide whether what they were doing was right... because they could feel it. Young love was a splendid thing, Erica and Landon first meeting a college class both would rather not attend and one cup of coffee later they had belonged to one another. Like most girls Erica's age, she dreamed of finding that special someone she could spend the rest of her life with and she believed she had found that in Landon. Blissful love, simple as that.
The two were inseparable, doing everything together and not wasting a single second of free time without the other. It made other students sick, the way they would walk around holding hands in the sun between classes and exchanging terms of endearment Before they parted. Having separate class schedules bothered Erica a little, but to Landon it didn't matter. She was working on her degree of Fashion Design and he going the more technical route of Structural Engineer. They would soon see one another again, and he found Erica's eager to see him utterly adorable.
Erica had decided it was time for her family to meet the man she was going to marry upon summer vacation of sophomore year. Both terribly excited as they flew from California all the way across the continent to New York where Erica was from. Landon had never been to the city (born and raised in California) so Erica's excitement grew. She could show him all the different areas she loved of the city. From the sights to the sounds, it was her favorite place in the world to be and she was happy to share it with Landon.
To her surprise, everyone got along swimmingly... even her younger sister loved him. This was hard for her to believe because Sophie wasn't your average girl. She'd rather get a hepatitis shot or eat a worm before she set foot on a college campus. To her, "organized education" wasn't her thing and thus she was way over it. Still living at home, she craved attention from both parents, both emotionally and financially.
Landon and the family got along very nice, particularly with Sophie. During the day the two would disappear for hours at a time, and on one of these outings he returned back to the Stewart house with a fresh tattoo, the name Erica scrolled neatly on his skin. Naturally Erica would freak out and eventually she confided in her mother that she suspected the worst... her younger sister was trying to rip the love her life away from her. Her mother would calm her down and convince her it was nothing and that Sophie were being herself... but how long could they lie to themselves before it all blew up in smoke?
