“Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago - the precise date is uncertain - by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age. They built this castle together, far from prying Muggle eyes, for it was an age when magic was feared by common people, and witches and wizards suffered much persecution."
On the nineteenth day in the third month of the year 1024, four friends met with the idea to start up a school to teach magical children to hone their talents and abilities. They worked day and night both on the construction of the castle and the planning of the school, they travelled up and down the country searching for families that might wish to enroll their children and risked their good names for the sake of bettering the wizarding community.
Seven years later and Hogwarts is opening its doors for the first time.
The school was perhaps one of the first in Europe to accept students with the gift of magic; many different ethnicities were included. The age range, however, was set for the ages of eleven till eigtheen; anyone older already begun a family and therefore were uncapable of attending the magical school.
It was a different world back then. Even with a school made safe by four incredibly gifted wizards and witches, that didn't prevent what was happening outside. Dragons roamed the earth freely, along with giants and many other fierce beasts; things were more untamed and everywhere. Hogwarts was built not only to teach young students how to deal with their gifts.
But how to survive.
