Harry Potter fought and thought that he vanquished the Dark Lord. However, how could everything be well? How could a seventeen year old destroy what was said to be the most clever Dark Wizard of all time? It just seemed too easy. Maybe someone should have considered that. But the Wizarding World, well, they just wanted a 'happy' ending. Life doesn't always end happily ever for all of your optimists out there.
Five years ago, Lily Luna Potter was playing outside. She saw a snake, but it was so tiny that it could do no wrong. She thought nothing of it. Merlin, she was wrong! The snake was more than a snake. Later that evening in a deserted Little Hangington; a meeting of the Dark Lord's followers was held. Among them stood the Dark Lord's remaining son (the other two had been killed by Aurors) and his son's bride. Harry was dragged away from his wife and children whilst they were on an outing. The Dark Lord's son grasped Harry's arm forcefully. "Blood of the enemy forcefully taken." These words seemed familiar and Harry tried to jerk away. However, he couldn't escape the grasp of Mercutio Riddle and after a few moments a sharp blade cut into his flesh most painfully. After the Dark Lord had been resurrected for a second time, Harry looked incredulous. "What horcrux did I miss?" "Me," Mercutio muttered. Then Harry and the Dark Lord dueled. This time, Harry died. He was gone forever.
"Kill the girl," Voldemort hissed at Lucius.
Later that evening when Lily Potter was brushing her hair right before bed there was a pop, and there stood Lucius Malfoy. Lily looked confused for a moment. Lucius started toying with her before he killed her. However, after he had killed the girl, he cast up Mosmodre leaving the mark of the Death Eaters behind him. It was tempting to kill them all, but he had just been told to kill the girl. So he left. The next morning Ginny walked into her daughter's room and shrieked. James, Albus, and her youngest Mallory came running into the room. Ginny turned to James. "I want you to use the floor and tell grandma and grandpa what happened, along with all your uncles." However, the worst blow to Ginevra Potter was yet to come. She later found out that Harry was killed, too.
There was no time to properly grieve, the Death Eaters came marching through London as if they owned the place. They had taken over the Ministry and Voldemort made himself Minister of Magic. Ginny was outraged. How could this happen? However, instead of laying low like her family suggested the fiery redhead defiantly told off the Death Eaters and was killed by Mercutio Riddle. The Potter children were alarmed at their mother's death. What were they to do now? These were dark times and dementors were all around, most unfortunately. Where would they turn to, all their relatives were at risk. Contrary to all popular belief, all was not well.
However, the first people to show up after the death of Ginny was Lily and James Potter. "Come on," James urged. "It will be safer with us than Molly and Arthur. They were too busy trying to do Harry in."
Lily nodded. "Come on, kids. They're NOT GONNA GET US."
