Personality:
Kyler is a different type of person, obtaining many sides while still being just one, does that make sense? Well it does to her, anyways, she is a person of many traits, all of which work together with in her, keeping a balance of epic proportions. Kyler is a very mellow creature taking things in stride never feeling the need to rush something, going at her own pace as necessary. She is down to earth, with a wondering mind, a good imagination reined in by intelligence and sensibility, a habitual over thinker, thinking things well through before making any big decision, well most of the time. She is modest and sound of mind, for the most part, although she does have her bouts of insanity, an unstable trait past down from her mother. She has a strong work ethic, always finishing what she starts and always doing everything to the best of her ability, finding it far too easy to put 110% into everything. A slight perfectionist more by nurture then by nature. However you wouldn't know it to look at her things, chaotic order she calls it, and it works for her much to the bewilderment of others.
Aside from her serious attributes she also has a fun side, a side that likes to cut loose and have fun. A wild child of sorts she hides a party girl underneath her over achieving skin, always up for a good time. She's a fun person to be around when she's not doing something she has to do, she's a ball of energy always up for anything, doing crazy random things, never turning down a dare, while still keeping a good head on her shoulders. A slightly shy person with a bold persona at times. Kyler is, playful, intelligent, kind, and helpful all rolled into one girl. A feat unmatched by most. A slight promiscuous side matched with a sense of adventure. All in all she's a mixed up girl just trying to make the best out of the cards she was dealt. A firm believer of work first, play later, unfortunately.

Distinguishing Marks:
Nothing major. She does have a few scars on her right forearm from when a dog attacked her at the tender age of four, but all wounds heal and thus she has forgotten all about the golden retriever who had taken a rather healthy chunk out of her arm.
Self Perception: She is amazing at photography, one of the many reasons why she wants to be one. There is hardly a time when you don't see her with her camera; the Olympus E-3. Kyler is constantly taking pictures all of which usually come out beautifully. Every day she takes loads of pictures and then spends most of her nights uploading the pictures to her laptop to edit/save them. At least, that's what used to lie in this girl's future...
A beautiful drawer makes it easy to pronounce that Kyler is fairly artistic, her favorite class being art of course. The things she creates not of gallery status, but it keeps her contained and it's a sort of release for her. Exceptionally responsible, taking things in stride and always getting things done right away. Kyler is the type that will borrow something and give it back to you in better shape then it was before. An unusual teen manner, but then again who said she was normal?
Appearance:
With long flowing brunette locks and olvie green eyes, it's easy to see she has been blessed with a natural beauty that some women go through hell to accomplish. Kyler is completely aware of this, and of course she flaunts this and uses her looks to her advantage. There isn't anything that can't be accomplished by showing the right poeple what you're made of. Her innocent face matched with her slenderized and athletic body...she's a triple threat if you add in her firey personality.
With just her ears pirced in which she wears simple studs, is the only body modifications on this eighteen year old... and you're welcome to look if you'd like. In fact, she invites almost anyone to venture in this sort of situation. Her scars and injuries throught her life have been nothing major, with a few scars on her right forearm from when a dog attacked her at the tender age of four, but all wounds heal and thus she has forgotten all about the golden retriever who had taken a rather healthy chunk out of her arm.

History:
It was warm when Kyler Rea Urban entered the world, the winter days had past and the spring moments were fading all too fast, summer was on it's way. Her parents couldn't have been happier, a beautiful green eyed baby girl had joined their family expanding it from three to four, a perfect little boy and a perfect little girl, all that was left to finish the couples perfect little life in their perfect little world. It was this 'perfect' complex that had always downright pissed Kyler off. From the time she was conceived she had far too many expectations, all of which she was meant to fulfill in order to gain any sort of freedom from her parents who kept her locked away like an animal at a zoo, something she despised with a passion. It was on the day of her birth that all of this began, the day that the perfectness was complete, well for the moment, the day when her parents had accomplished their goal. She was a planned birth, of course, there was no love or lust involved in her creation, nope just a sense of duty and the proper parts. She was born right on time, naturally, no drugs involved, her mother being one of those types who even after six hours of labor still looked normal and was even happy looking. There were many a time Kyler had wished she were there for that sight, to see her mother happy that is. The family lived in a small apartment for three years, trying to make ends meet before they moved to this city, the place of Mr. Urban's youth and a place completely foreign to the British born Mrs. Urban. They were there to take care of Kyler's grandmother, the last surviving relative of her father's, well besides her and her brother of course. The old women died two months after the family's arrival, and Kyler's father moved the family permanently into his family's old house, the place of his birth and up bringing along with nearly six generations before him. It didn't take long for her parents to settle in, her mother on the committee of several societies and knowing all the names of the women in town. Her father took over the run down shop that had belonged to his father, he fixed it up and made some cash, starting over from scratch.
As a child Kyler's only source of socialization were play dates and the occasion trip to the park to play, although they were very rare, her parents seeking to hide her from the world. Most of her childhood was spent in her family's home or in their back yard playing with her toys or play games with her brother. At the time she never truly minded it much, although she liked it far more when she got to go play with the neighborhood kids. Kyler had few friends as a child, and the ones she did have were hardly ever seen, her parents trying to teach the proper way instead of having her learn from other children like most people. In other words she was extremely sheltered, her parents using all the child rearing books in the world to come up with their own way to raise two perfect children, apparently however no one told them that there is no such thing as perfect, a fatal flaw. Other then that her childhood was fairly normal, she was messy, silly, energetic, and playful, just like other children, no different, for the most part, from everyone else.
She was five when the perfect world her parents made back fired on them. Johnny; her older brother, was climbing a tree when all of a sudden he lost his balance and fell. He was rushed to the hospital and suffered from a broken leg, dislocated shoulder, and broken collar bone, but the thing that had him in the hospital for a month was the head trauma leading to a coma. The children's mother was devastated, you see she was supposed to be watching them, but the phone rang. Mrs. Urban didn't take the situation well at all, so one night after tucking Kyler in she downed a bottle of Prozac and vodka, finishing off with a slice to each wrist. Kyler woke up to the sounds of the ambulance and her father crying, the little girl scaled the stairs just in time to see her blood covered mother rushed out of the house on a gurney, the woman barely breathing. It was a sight that to this day still haunts her dreams. At age six her father became a preacher and her mother became a vegetable, this was the year of somewhat freedom, she was able to go play with the other kids and actually make friends, it was the best year of her life. From then on she was more or less a normal kid, hanging around with friends all day and making it home for dinner by 6:00 and bed by 8:00, life was fairly good.
At twelve she discovered photography and immediately took a liking to it, becoming good at in a short amount of time, that's when figured out that photography would be her ticket out of this town. It was also around this time that her parents, well her father became stricter, holding higher expectations. The rest of her life was spent living in the shadow of her brother, all the way up until he left for college, on a full scholarship of course. Now she's expected to do the same, she's expected to fill those size 12 and a half shoes and walk the path to a high paying job and then make a perfect little family with a perfect husband at the perfect age of 30. Well needless to say she has far different aspirations, she doesn't want to be perfect, she wants to be herself, she wants to live life for herself, learn for herself, Kyler just wants to break free of the shell her parents created for her.
One night after her sixteenth birthday, her father had been acting very strange. He had come home an hour later than his normal 6PM routine that ran like clockwork and instead of saying, "'Afternoon, Kyler." and patting her head he rushed her to the neighbor's home where the twins needed watched while their parents were away for the evening. Finding this rather odd, though she followed her father's wishes and gathered her things she might need at the McBrian residence. She had been greeted by the two twin girls, one on each arm and she remembers like it were yesterday their hair smelled of bubble gum and soap. Then, she heard the sirens... and they lead straight to her home next door.
Awstuck and bewildered, she tucked the twins behind her and watched a second time in her life her mother wheeled out to the awaiting ambulance, and what surprised her was her father following behind...in a pair of sturdy handcuffs. Confused, she told the girls to wait there and raced through the grass cutting the property in half for both residents and began throwing question after question at a tall man in a navy police suit. She was told to come down to the station to have questions answered, and when the McBrian's heard of the news they raced home to care for their little girls, freeing Kyler to unwrap the ugliness that laid ahead of her.
The police station was crowded to the brim with people chained to one another and the benches littering the lobby and she made her way past the cat calls to the front desk, a girl introducing himself as Lt. Michaels. She recognized him as the man ushering her father away as she stood in the damp grass of her front yard, and she broke down in tears. "Where's my daddy...?" she whined, a child-like tone, placing her face in her hands. The man's face melted, rounding the counter to tuck the girl under his wing and take her to a small room labeled LT. MICHAELS in gold scripture. His office was littered with random files and such, and seated her in the chair across from the metal hunk he claimed a plausible work space. There is where she learned her father had mudered her mother, taking her life and attempting to end his own. The officer was carefully instructed to tell Kyler none of this was meant to hurt her, and he placed her out of harms way. Her entire world had cracked open before her, leaving her defenseless against the entire world.
Naturally the news made her feel in this way, and the motions through the legal system didn't do her much better. From foster home to foster home, and eventually being place in a facility to care for her until her 21st birthday because they wanted to keep an eye on her to make sure she was mentally and emotionally ready to take on the world on her own before releasing her after this traumatic experience. She had gone from a completely prefect family into a terrible horror film survivor over the length of her short life, and being an innocent bystandard in the whole thing made her feel like a natural disaster sweeped away everyone she loved and left her alone to fend for herself. This is where our story crashes with the present. Kyler is still under the care of the state, sharing a room with three other girls as she tries to make it through school and the dangerous streets of Downtown New York.
